20-Year-Old Nevaeh Wilson Identified as Victim in East Nashville Block Party Shooting

NASHVILLE, TN – Authorities have identified the woman fatally shot during a chaotic block party in East Nashville as Nevaeh Wilson, 20, of Nashville.

The shooting occurred on August 2 around 11:15 p.m., prompting multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire between 2405 and 2608 Oakwood Avenue. According to witnesses, an unknown altercation led to gunfire being exchanged among individuals attending the gathering.

Wilson, who had been at the party, was reportedly trying to flee the area when she was struck by a bullet in the lower back. She was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.

A 24-year-old man was also shot and transported by private vehicle to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

Metro Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting death of Nevaeh Wilson to come forward.
