Landon McClanahan, 19, Killed in Crash on Turner Turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – A tragic crash early Sunday morning on the Turner Turnpike claimed the life of Landon McClanahan, a 19-year-old from Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

The fatal collision occurred around 4:40 a.m. in the westbound lanes near mile marker 151. Authorities say McClanahan was driving a passenger vehicle when it collided with a commercial vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

McClanahan was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. OHP confirmed that there were no passengers in his vehicle. The commercial vehicle was occupied by two individuals, neither of whom sustained injuries.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and investigators are working to gather more details. Additional information from troopers is expected to be released in the coming days.

McClanahan’s death is a sobering reminder of the dangers on the road and the importance of seat belt use. Family, friends, and the Oklahoma City community are mourning the sudden loss of a young life taken far too soon.
