Chamblee, Georgia A tragic incident unfolded in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 3, when Chamblee Police responded to reports of gunfire at 4897 Buford Highway.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Abdul Hydara, 31, lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, Abdul tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Eyewitnesses say the chaos began outside IBIZA ATL, a popular local lounge. “Everyone just started rushing inside all of a sudden,” one witness recalled. “I turned to my friend and asked, ‘What on earth is happening?’ That’s when the DJ got on the mic and told everyone to go home.”
As people made their way outside, the gravity of the situation became clear. Abdul was seen on the ground, surrounded by emergency personnel desperately trying to save his life.
Authorities believe this was a drive-by shooting and are actively investigating. Detectives are following several leads and are urging the community to come forward with any information that might help identify the suspect or suspects responsible for this senseless act of violence.
