Ronald “Ronnie” Thomason, 43, Remembered for His Heart, Humor, and Love of Animals After Tragic Motorcycle Accident

Ronald Porter “Ronnie” Thomason, 43, of Texline, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 2, 2025, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Born in Amarillo, Texas, to Lillian Thomason and Ronald Greer, Ronnie was raised in Pampa, where he attended local schools and created a lifetime of memories.

Ronnie was a truly unique soul—someone who unapologetically marched to the beat of his own drum. His infectious laugh, love of pranks, and quick wit made him unforgettable to all who knew him. Yet beneath the humor was a kind and gentle heart. Ronnie had a special love for animals, often rescuing strays or bringing home surprise pets, knowing they’d find a place in his heart—and home.

A passionate gamer and creative spirit, Ronnie enjoyed sharing his online adventures on YouTube, building a community through laughter and storytelling. His curious mind was drawn to all things mechanical—if it could be taken apart, he was ready with a screwdriver, and if it couldn’t be fixed, he always had a good story to share.

Nothing made Ronnie feel more alive than riding his Harley, relishing the open road and the wind in his face. His deep dimples and trademark goofy grin were ever-present, a reflection of the joy he found in life and the love he gave freely to those around him.

Ronnie is now reunited in peace with loved ones who preceded him in death, including his grandparents, Wanda and Jess Mitchell, Francis Higgins, and Earnest Porter Thomason; great-grandmother, Lilian Coates; stepmother, Linda Raines; and stepfather, Leslie Whitson.

He leaves behind a family who adored him: his mother, Lillian Whitson of Pampa; father, Ronald Greer of Borger; bonus dad, Kenneth Raines, Jr. and wife Haleigh of McLean; brothers, Keith Raines of Borger, Anthony Ruiz of Pampa, and Jacob Eddleman of Pampa; sisters, Lindsey Moore of Pampa and Laura Johnson of McLean; uncle, Aaron Robinson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will forever miss his laughter, compassion, and the light he brought into their lives.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services are currently pending. Ronnie’s cremation care has been entrusted to Winegeart Funeral Home.

In honor of Ronnie’s deep love for animals, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to PAWS, P.O. Box 2095, Pampa, TX 79066-2095. His legacy of compassion and individuality will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
