Angel Mendoza – Tragic Loss After Bronx Playground Stabbing

The Norwood community in the Bronx is mourning the devastating loss of 14-year-old Angel Mendoza, who tragically died following a violent stabbing at Williamsbridge Oval Playground on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. when police responded to reports of a stabbing at the popular neighborhood park. Upon arrival, officers discovered two teenage boys suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Angel Mendoza was found in critical condition with several stab wounds across his body. He was rushed to the hospital, but despite emergency efforts, he sadly succumbed to his injuries. The second victim, a 17-year-old boy, sustained wounds to the stomach and shoulder and remains hospitalized in stable condition.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the attack is still unknown. Investigators are working diligently to gather information and identify those responsible for this senseless act of violence.
