Two Teenagers Killed in Tragic North Macon Crash

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a heartbreaking accident that claimed the lives of two teenagers early Friday morning.

According to a release, the crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. on Zebulon Road near Colaparchee Road, when a Dodge pickup truck left the roadway and collided with a tree.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Alexander Strebeck, and his passenger, 17-year-old Landon Lawless, both suffered severe injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.

Officials confirmed that next of kin have been notified.

The incident has left the North Macon community in mourning as friends, family, and classmates remember two young lives taken far too soon.
