LEVY COUNTY, Fla. – A 56-year-old man from Gainesville tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash in Levy County on Tuesday afternoon, August 6.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. on State Road 121 near NE 65th Street. The man was driving a sedan when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree. He was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the man’s name, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
