Road Policing officers are appealing for information after a fatal crash on the A77 near Monkton on Monday, August 11, 2025.
At approximately 1:35 p.m., officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision near the Sandyford Roundabout. Emergency services arrived at the scene where the 41-year-old male driver of a Ford Transit Tipper was pronounced dead. There were no other injuries reported.
Sergeant Martin Cunningham of the Road Policing Unit in Glasgow expressed condolences, saying, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died. Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I urge anyone with information who has not yet come forward to contact us.”
He added, “We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area.”
