Authorities have released the names of the four people who lost their lives in a tragic medical plane crash on the Navajo Nation shortly after departing Albuquerque.

The aircraft, operated by CSI Aviation, was carrying no patients at the time of the incident. The victims have been identified as pilots Jeffrey Tuning and Amanda Benson, flight nurse Kameilia Chavez, and flight paramedic Nicholas Mancuso.

“Our primary focus at this moment is on the families and loved ones of the friends we lost this week,” said William Collins, Chief Operating Officer of CSI Aviation. “The collective heart of our company is shattered. With profound sorrow, we extend our deepest condolences to all who are grieving for Jeff, Amanda, Kami, and Nick. We share in your sorrow, pray for your comfort and healing, and firmly believe that none of these remarkable individuals will be forgotten.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the crash occurred on August 5 as the plane attempted to land at the Chinle, Arizona, airport.

The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash. CSI Aviation has pledged full cooperation with investigators and is asking for patience and privacy on behalf of the victims’ families.
