Authorities in Puerto Rico have confirmed that a 25-year-old tourist from New York was shot and killed late Friday night in the La Perla neighborhood of San Juan. The victim, identified as Kevin Mares of Queens, New York, was visiting the island when the tragic incident occurred.
According to police, the shooting happened shortly before midnight. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found Mares with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
