Authorities in Colquitt County are investigating a devastating two-vehicle collision that claimed the lives of 39-year-old Sarah Ann Buckner Anderson and 19-year-old Ryan Harvey White late Saturday night.
The crash occurred around 9:07 p.m. at the intersection of Hopewell Church Road and Highway 133 South, according to Colquitt County Coroner C. Verlyn Brock.
Preliminary reports indicate that White’s vehicle struck Anderson’s at the intersection. Those close to Anderson shared that the impact was so severe her car was split in half, leading many to believe White had been traveling at a high rate of speed.
A GoFundMe campaign has been created to assist with funeral expenses and to provide support for Anderson’s children. Her funeral services will take place at Baker Funeral Home in Moultrie.
This tragic incident has left two families and the community mourning an unimaginable loss.
