LONGVILLE, LA — The Louisiana State Police have announced that the investigation into the hit-and-run death of 17-year-old Jodie Cannon has been closed, as authorities did not have sufficient evidence to arrest a suspect.
Cannon was tragically struck while walking along U.S. 171 near A.D. Hodges Road around 4 a.m. on February 9. Despite troopers pursuing numerous leads and identifying a potential suspect, Sgt. Ross Brennan confirmed that the evidence was insufficient to move forward with charges.
