CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville Police Department has identified the driver killed in a fatal crash on Memorial Extension Tuesday afternoon as 90-year-old William Knight of Clarksville.
Knight was pronounced dead at the scene. Two female passengers in his vehicle were airlifted to Nashville for treatment — one is reported to be in critical but stable condition, while the other remains in stable condition.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a second vehicle crossed into Knight’s path, causing the collision. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting CPD’s Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) with the ongoing investigation.
