RICHMOND — Police are investigating a violent incident on the 100 block of Spencer Street (14608) that left multiple victims injured late Tuesday night. The Richmond Police Department (RPD) responded around 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an open 911 call with arguing in the background.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two people down. Early reports indicate that one victim, believed to be female, suffered a stabbing and was unresponsive, while a second victim, a male, may have been shot and appeared deceased at the scene. Witnesses reportedly observed a male standing over a female with a knife prior to officers’ arrival, and another call reported gunshots in the area.
RPD immediately requested EMS to assist the female victim and called for a supervisor, a technical unit, and the RPD Command Van to coordinate the scene. Authorities are treating the incident as a homicide investigation and have secured the area to ensure public safety while gathering evidence.
