WACO, Texas — The Waco Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred this afternoon on China Spring Road.
Officers responded to the 10000 block of China Spring Road at approximately 12:25 p.m. after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision. Preliminary information indicates that a green Dodge Ram was traveling northbound when it turned west to enter a nearby parking lot. At the same time, a silver Dodge Ram was traveling southbound, and the two vehicles collided.
Several passengers from both vehicles were transported to a local hospital. Tragically, a 72-year-old female passenger from the green Dodge Ram was pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities have notified her next of kin.
No arrests have been made in connection with the crash. The Waco Police Department stated that the identity of the deceased will be released at a later time. Investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
