CHOCTAW COUNTY, Ala. — The Choctaw County community is mourning the loss of 33-year-old Ladarius J. Washam of Waynesboro, who died following a tragic ATV accident on Saturday evening.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Washam was operating a Honda ATV on Shady Grove Road at approximately 7:10 p.m. when the vehicle ran off the roadway and collided with a parked Can-Am Renegade ATV. Emergency responders transported him to Ochsner Choctaw General Hospital in Butler, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Washam’s passing has left family, friends, and neighbors devastated. Those who knew him remember Ladarius as a kind and caring individual who brought joy to those around him. He was cherished by his loved ones for his warmth, generosity, and the positive spirit he shared with everyone he encountered.
