VICTORIA, Texas – The Victoria Police Department (VPD) has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on August 30, 2025, in the 2100 block of Lone Tree Road.
According to VPD, officers responded to reports of shots fired at a business on Lone Tree Road at approximately 1:10 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered 23-year-old Tyler Gamez suffering from gunshot wounds.
Gamez was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries but later died as a result of those injuries.
Police say the case is being investigated as a homicide, and detectives are following up on all available leads. No arrests have been announced at this time.
