INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating three separate shootings that erupted across Indianapolis late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning, leaving one man dead and at least five others injured.
The first incident occurred just before 10 p.m. Tuesday on the city’s near north side. IMPD officers were called to the 1200 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street, where they found a man dead inside a vehicle from multiple gunshot wounds. The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 25-year-old Isaac C. Duncan. Police have not announced any arrests and are reviewing security footage from the area.
Around the same time, officers responded to another shooting on the northeast side in the 3300 block of North Denny Street. Three men were found shot near a white truck riddled with bullet holes. Investigators recovered more than 30 shell casings at the scene. Police say they are searching for three suspects believed to be connected to the shooting.
The third shooting was reported around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday in Cumberland, near the 800 block of Belhaven Place. Two victims — a 20-year-old man and woman — were struck when gunfire came through an apartment window. Both were transported to a hospital in stable condition. A witness reported seeing a white car speeding away from the area.
IMPD says all three investigations remain active, and anyone with information is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
