NEW RICHMOND – A 61-year-old woman, Shelly McGlone, has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting on Tuesday night.
Authorities report that the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Indian Ridge Trail, near Frank Willis Memorial Road, when McGlone allegedly shot a man multiple times in the chest. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released as officials continue notifying next of kin.
Scott Noel, Police Chief of New Richmond, said investigators are working to determine the relationship between McGlone and the victim. Law enforcement remained at the scene into the early hours of Wednesday as they gathered evidence.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released further details.
