Fort Dodge, IA – Authorities have identified the victim in the Tuesday, September 2, 2025, homicide as 45-year-old Justo Cruz Calindo of Fort Dodge. Investigators made contact with Calindo’s family in recent days and formally notified them of his death.
Since the incident, detectives from the Fort Dodge Police Department, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Webster County Attorney’s Office have been working tirelessly to pursue leads in the case.
As a result of their efforts, 38-year-old Rolman H. Recinos Gonzales of Fort Dodge has been arrested and charged with:
- Murder in the First Degree (A Felony)
- Trafficking in Stolen Weapons (D Felony)
- Person Ineligible to Carry Dangerous Weapons (Serious Misdemeanor)
Authorities emphasized that Gonzales is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. He is currently being held at the Webster County Jail.
