COPPERAS COVE, Texas — Authorities have released the names of two people who died in a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 190 last week.
According to the Copperas Cove Police Department, the victims have been identified as 21-year-old Nasryth Antonio Funes, who was driving, and 27-year-old Eisleer Jose Castillo Gomes, who was riding in the front passenger seat. Police said the vehicle they were in has been determined to be the “at-fault vehicle” in the collision.
The crash, which occurred last week on U.S. 190, remains under investigation as authorities continue to examine the circumstances that led to the deadly wreck. Officials have not released additional details regarding contributing factors or whether other drivers were injured.
The Copperas Cove Police Department says further updates will be provided as the investigation develops.
