FORT MILL, S.C. — Authorities have identified the two young men who lost their lives in a tragic crash earlier this week in York County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision happened Tuesday on Dobys Bridge Road near Kearney Lane and involved three vehicles. Investigators say that a car driven by Jose Robles Gonzales crossed the center line and struck two oncoming vehicles.
Gonzales and his passenger, Marlon Lanza Padilla, both died as a result of the crash. Officials have not released their ages at this time.
Troopers are continuing to investigate what caused Gonzales to veer into oncoming traffic. The condition of the drivers and passengers in the other vehicles involved has not yet been released.
Authorities say more details will be shared as the investigation develops.
