WACO, Texas – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday, August 31, on China Spring Road.
The Waco Police Department confirmed that 72-year-old Virginia Martinez was killed in the collision, which happened in the 10000 block of China Spring Road around 12:25 p.m.
Investigators said a green Dodge Ram traveling northbound attempted to turn west into an adjacent parking lot when it collided with a southbound silver Dodge Ram. The impact left several passengers injured, and they were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Martinez, who was a passenger in the green Dodge Ram, was later pronounced dead. Authorities have notified her family.
Police say no arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
