SHREVEPORT, La – The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed in a domestic-related incident in west-central Shreveport on Saturday morning.
The victim was 27-year-old Kalisia Franklin, who was mortally injured during the early morning incident at a residence in the 3100 block of DeSoto Street in the Ingleside neighborhood. Police say the incident occurred just before 7:30 a.m.
Franklin was rushed to Willis-Knighton Medical Center on Greenwood Road, where she later died at 1:03 p.m. the same day.
According to the coroner’s office, this case marks the 26th homicide in Shreveport in 2025 and the 31st overall in Caddo Parish.
The Shreveport Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Franklin’s death. An autopsy has been ordered, and further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
