It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Daniella V. Weisman, 48, of Glencoe, Illinois, who tragically lost her life over the weekend after being struck by a Metra train.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, near Green Bay and Maple Hill roads in Glencoe. Daniella was crossing the tracks heading west when a southbound Metra train approached. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, she was pronounced dead at the scene. A dog was also found deceased alongside her.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled her death an accident.
Daniella will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with those closest to her. Friends and family describe her as someone who cared deeply, brought light to every room she entered, and shared a special bond with her beloved dog.
