Shreveport Man Dies After Mobility Scooter Crash

SHREVEPORT, La. — A Shreveport man died from injuries sustained when his mobility scooter was struck by a car, authorities reported.

On September 5, Solomon Boyd, 64, was riding his mobility scooter on the 100 block of East Stoner Avenue just after 8 a.m. when he was involved in a crash with a car. He was transported to a local hospital and underwent surgery.

Despite medical efforts, Boyd succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:25 a.m. on September 7.

Authorities have not released additional details about the crash or the driver involved.
