It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jonnie Marie Clasen, a beloved member of the Columbus community, who tragically lost her life following a vehicle accident on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She was 79 years old.
Jonnie passed peacefully at Piedmont Columbus Regional, surrounded by care, after the crash that occurred earlier that morning on Fourth Street, also known as Victory Drive.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Family and friends describe her as a gentle soul with a generous spirit — someone who always put others before herself.
Though her time was cut short, Jonnie’s life was full of love, family, and memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
The Columbus community mourns this loss deeply and extends thoughts and prayers to her loved ones during this time of grief. May her memory bring comfort and strength in the days ahead.
