BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. – Bartow County Schools is mourning the loss of 9-year-old Kevin Trujillo Blas, a student at Kingston Elementary School, who passed away over the weekend following a medical emergency last month.
Kevin was remembered for his quiet presence, artistic talent, and love of soccer. Teachers and classmates described him as kind-hearted and thoughtful.
“I’ll never forget his morning hugs, his kind smile, and that sweet sense of humor,” his second-grade teacher shared.
The district noted that Kevin was a devoted older brother who consistently looked out for his younger sibling, ensuring he got to class safely each day and checking in on him often.
“His spirit, quiet, caring, and full of love, will be missed in ways words can’t fully express,” Bartow County Schools said in a statement.
Friends, family, and the school community are remembering Kevin’s gentle nature and the joy he brought to those around him.
