ELDORADO, Ill. – The Saline County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim in a recent Eldorado murder investigation as Michael Wiseman, 44, of Harrisburg.
Authorities say the incident occurred in the early morning hours of September 7, 2025, near Benton Street and 1st Street in Eldorado. Illinois State Police responded to the scene, and the investigation remains active. An autopsy has been scheduled by the Saline County Coroner’s Office.
One person, Jesse Trout, 25, of Eldorado, has been charged with murder in connection with Wiseman’s death. Trout made his initial appearance on Monday, September 8, before Judge Clark at the Saline County Courthouse.
The Eldorado Police Department and State’s Attorney’s Office have not released further details as the case continues to develop. Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
