Cashon Roberts – Cleveland Teen Killed in East Side Homicide

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Authorities have confirmed the death of 15-year-old Cashon Roberts of Cleveland Heights, who was killed in a shooting earlier this week on Cleveland’s East Side.

Officials say Roberts was found Monday on Bundy Drive in the 2500 block, located in the city’s Central neighborhood, and was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center. Despite efforts by medical staff, he later succumbed to his injuries. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has ruled his death a homicide.

Details about how Roberts was injured or who may be responsible have not been released. Cleveland police have not indicated whether any suspects have been identified or arrested, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, including anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

Roberts’ death has deeply affected the community, where residents say youth violence has become an ongoing concern. Advocates have called for increased mentorship programs, safe spaces, and outreach efforts to prevent further tragedies.

This incident adds to a growing number of homicides in Cleveland this year, many involving young victims, highlighting the broader challenges faced by neighborhoods struggling with poverty, housing issues, and public safety concerns.

Family, friends, and community members continue to grieve the loss of Cashon Roberts while hoping for justice. Police continue to investigate and have promised updates as the case develops.
