CLAREMONT, N.C  — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash Tuesday evening in Catawba County as 34-year-old Eric Scott Dugger of Newton.

The collision occurred around 5:10 p.m. on September 9, at the intersection of NC 10 and Shiloh Road. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Dugger was traveling east on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle when a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado pulled into his path while attempting a left turn from Shiloh Road.
