ROWLETT, Texas – Authorities have identified 20-year-old Marcus Davis of Forney as the victim of a deadly crash on Interstate 30 early Sunday morning.
The Rowlett Police Department reported that the crash occurred around 5:00 a.m. on September 7, 2025, in the westbound lanes just east of Dalrock Road. The collision involved a motorcycle ridden by Davis and a passenger car. During the crash, Davis was ejected over a concrete guardrail into the eastbound lanes. He sustained critical injuries, was transported to a local hospital, and was later pronounced deceased.
The two occupants of the passenger car initially fled the scene on foot. Rowlett police, with assistance from Rockwall Police Department drone operators, located them hiding in nearby brush. Both were taken into custody.
The driver, Wilmary Salazar Rodriguez, 27, has been charged with Collision Involving Death. The passenger, Yunior Marin-Garcia, 29, has been charged with Public Intoxication and Failure to Report a Felony.
The Rowlett Police Department emphasized its commitment to roadway safety, particularly for motorcyclists, and stated it will continue collaborating with regional partners to prevent serious and fatal crashes.
