CLAY COUNTY, Ark – Authorities have identified 80-year-old Ronnie Gurley of Greenway as the victim in a deadly crash involving a semi-truck and a train Tuesday morning in Clay County.
According to Sheriff Ronnie Cole, the collision occurred around 8 a.m. on County Road 346, approximately one mile north of Piggott. Investigators said Gurley, who was driving the semi-truck, died at the scene.
Union Pacific officials confirmed that one of their trains was involved in the crash. No additional injuries were reported.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said the crash remains under investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.
