Victim Identified in Tucson Murder-Suicide Case

TUCSON, Ariz  – The Tucson Police Department has identified the victim in the murder-suicide that occurred on September 8.

Michelle Ohnesorgen Johnson, 47, was confirmed as the victim in this tragic domestic violence incident.

According to TPD, Operations Division Midtown officers and the Tucson Fire Department responded to a report of two people found dead in a home on the 2800 block of North Desert Avenue at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Johnson and 48-year-old Michael Martinez Duran with gunshot wounds. Investigators said the couple had a history of domestic violence. Evidence suggests Duran shot Johnson before turning the gun on himself.

TPD is working with the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner to confirm the details of their injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
