17-Year-Old Killed, Two Younger Siblings Injured in Port Huron Shooting; Father Arrested

PORT HURON, Mich. (Sept. 11, 2025) – A 17-year-old boy has died and his two younger siblings remain in critical condition after their father allegedly opened fire inside a Port Huron apartment early Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred around 6 a.m. at an apartment complex on Glenview Court, near Krafft Road and 24th Avenue (M-25). Authorities confirmed that three children—a 17-year-old boy, a 13-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old girl—were all transported to a hospital with gunshot wounds. The 17-year-old succumbed to his injuries, while the two younger victims are still fighting for their lives.

Police arrested the children’s father, a 44-year-old man, in connection with the shooting. His name has not yet been publicly released.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the Port Huron community. Investigators are working to determine what led to the violence.

The case remains under active investigation.
