Amy Blanc Lacy – ‘The Walking Dead’ Crew Member Killed in Atlanta Hit-and-Run

ATLANTA, Ga – A beloved crew member of The Walking Dead, 62-year-old Amy Blanc Lacy, has died following a hit-and-run crash on Mount Paran Road in northwest Atlanta.

The wreck occurred on Labor Day evening, September 1, at the intersection of Mount Paran Road and Northside Parkway. Investigators say 31-year-old Buck Rollins was driving nearly 90 mph when he collided with another vehicle, causing the deadly crash.

Witness Stacey Elgin captured the aftermath on her car’s camera and attempted to follow the fleeing driver. “I did a U-turn and went back. And at that point, that’s when I see this car fleeing,” Elgin recalled. “I did follow the car because this person obviously caused a terrible wreck.”

Lacy spent four days in a coma before passing away on Friday. At the time of the crash, her two adult sons were in the vehicle with her. One of them left to join the military the Monday following her death.

Lacy, a script supervisor remembered for her kindness and professionalism, was laid to rest in an eco-friendly burial on Wednesday. Her family shared that she was also an organ donor.

Authorities confirmed that Rollins later surrendered at the Fulton County Jail, where he was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and speeding. Jail records show he has since been released on a $70,000 bond.

Loved ones, including best friend Rebecca Senoglu, expressed gratitude for those who tried to help. “I can’t tell you how much it means to all of us that that person made that effort,” she said. “It is a blessing beyond measure.”

Lacy’s former co-workers have launched an online fundraiser to support her family: Help Amy Lacy’s Family Through This Difficult Time.
