Brandon Booher, 19, Killed in Chippewa Township Motorcycle Crash

CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Authorities have identified Brandon Booher, 19, as the motorcyclist who died Tuesday night in a collision on Route 51 near the Chippewa Towne Center.

According to police, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. when Booher, traveling at high speeds, ran a red light and struck a Toyota Yaris exiting the shopping center. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Booher was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the Toyota Yaris survived and was transported to a local hospital; authorities have not released further details regarding the extent of their injuries.

Eyewitnesses described the crash as both shocking and tragic. Lyndsay Krut, who was nearby for a sporting event, recalled seeing Booher riding moments before the collision. “I heard a motorcycle revving, like going really fast, then I heard police sirens,” Krut said. “He flew past the whole intersection and crashed as soon as we got the green light. It was crazy, it was insane.”

The impact left the roadway littered with wreckage, including broken glass, metal fragments, and twisted motorcycle parts, demonstrating the force of the crash. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

The sudden loss of Booher has left the community mourning and reflecting on the dangers of reckless driving, particularly involving motorcycles. “It’s really sad. I’m sorry he lost his life, but I know there needs to be a little bit less reckless driving around, especially on motorcycles around this time of year,” Krut added.

Local authorities continue to investigate the crash, reviewing evidence and witness statements to determine the full sequence of events. Police have not confirmed whether alcohol, distraction, or other factors played a role.

This tragic incident underscores the vulnerability of motorcyclists and the risks posed by high speeds and dangerous maneuvers. The Chippewa Township community mourns the loss of Brandon Booher while hoping the crash serves as a reminder to drive responsibly and obey traffic laws.

The investigation remains ongoing.
