CINCINNATI — Police have identified the man killed in a Friday night shooting in Evanston as 25-year-old Jawan Tyree Bates.
Officers responded to the area of Montgomery Road and Brewster Avenue, just blocks from Xavier University, around 8 p.m. Police closed part of Montgomery Road while the Homicide Unit processed the scene.
Shortly after the shooting, a gunshot victim arrived at University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities confirmed the victim as Bates.
