LEXINGTON, Ky. — Authorities have confirmed the identity of the man killed in a fatal crash on Versailles Road early Sunday morning as 46-year-old Abamekeze Biame Meh.
The collision occurred around 1:00 a.m. near the 1200 block of Versailles Road. Emergency responders arrived quickly on the scene and transported Meh to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
According to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Meh’s cause of death was determined to be accidental, the result of multiple blunt force injuries sustained during the crash.
The Lexington Police Department has launched a full investigation through its Collision Reconstruction Unit. Detectives are working to determine the exact circumstances leading to the deadly incident, including what factors may have contributed to the crash.
Authorities have not released further details regarding other vehicles or individuals involved, and the case remains under active review.
