NEW CITY, N.Y. – The Clarkstown Police Department has identified the three victims killed in a devastating car crash early Sunday morning, September 28, 2025, near the intersection of North Little Tor Road and Roberts Road.

Authorities confirmed the victims as 20-year-old Andrew Pinos of Nanuet, 18-year-old Larry Buestan of Thiells, and a 14-year-old girl from Stony Point, whose name is being withheld due to her age.

Police said the crash occurred around 3:00 a.m. when a gray Honda Civic traveling north on North Little Tor Road veered off the roadway and slammed into a tree. The vehicle sustained catastrophic damage, and all three occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the severity of the crash suggests the car may have been traveling at a significant speed, though the exact cause remains under investigation. The Clarkstown Police Accident Investigation Team is examining contributing factors such as speed, road conditions, impairment, or distraction.

The tragic loss has left families and the community reeling. Pinos, just 20, had his future ahead of him; Buestan, 18, was at the threshold of adulthood; and the 14-year-old victim was still in her early teenage years. Friends, neighbors, and classmates are mourning three lives cut short far too soon.

Clarkstown Police have urged anyone with information about the vehicle’s movements prior to the crash to contact the Traffic Unit at (845) 639-5800, noting that witness input could help piece together the final moments before impact.

In a statement, the department expressed condolences to the families, acknowledging the unimaginable grief they now face. Local residents have begun showing support, with many taking to social media to share messages of sympathy and sorrow.

The tragedy has also renewed community discussions on road safety, particularly among younger drivers. Authorities are reminding motorists to drive cautiously, especially late at night and in the early morning hours when visibility is limited and fatigue can impair judgment.

As the investigation continues, Clarkstown is left mourning the loss of Andrew Pinos, Larry Buestan, and the young girl from Stony Point—three promising lives ended in an instant.
