LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department has identified the man killed in an overnight shooting at a Southwest Lubbock house party.
Officers first responded to reports of a loud gathering in the 5500 block of 76th Street just after midnight. At 12:44 a.m., police were called back to the location for reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found 20-year-old Deon Lilly suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities also confirmed that 18-year-old Adysen Gardner arrived at UMC in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound. In addition, a minor was treated for arm lacerations at Covenant Medical Center in connection with the incident.
The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. At this time, no arrests have been made, and police have not released information on possible suspects.
Lubbock Police continue to ask anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
