BEULAH, Ala – Authorities are investigating a fatal house fire in Lee County that claimed the life of a local woman Tuesday evening.

Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton identified the victim as 34-year-old Kasey Hartley, who was pronounced dead at 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 30 at her home on Lee Road 252. Her body is being transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, along with fire officials, is looking into the circumstances surrounding the blaze. At this time, no additional details have been released about what may have caused the fire or whether foul play is suspected.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

Hartley’s death has deeply impacted the Beulah community, and neighbors have expressed their condolences to her family during this difficult time.
