SAN ANTONIO – Authorities have released the identity of the man killed in a late-night shooting near Downtown, leaving a family and community heartbroken.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim as 21-year-old Pedro Jaramillo, who died Monday night after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Police say the call came in around 9 p.m., reporting an unresponsive person near the intersection of North Colorado Street and Ruiz Street.

When officers arrived, they discovered Jaramillo suffering from numerous gunshot injuries to his neck, legs, and torso. Emergency crews quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he was pronounced deceased while in transit due to the severity of his injuries.

Detectives are still working to determine what led to the shooting. So far, no weapons have been recovered, and police say they do not have any suspect descriptions at this time. Authorities are urging community members to come forward with any information that could help lead to an arrest.

Pedro Jaramillo’s life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. His loved ones now face unimaginable grief as investigators continue to search for answers and justice in this devastating case.
