EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. — The Fountain Police Department (FPD) has identified 44-year-old Sharla Willer as the pedestrian killed in a crash on Tuesday evening, September 30, 2025, at the intersection of South Highway 85 and Main Street.

According to investigators, a motorcycle was traveling southbound on Highway 85 around 7:00 p.m. when Willer attempted to cross the northern crosswalk from east to west. Authorities say she was crossing against the pedestrian signal when she was struck by the motorcycle.

Tragically, Willer was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, FPD has stated that alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be contributing factors in the collision.

The incident remains under active investigation, and police are continuing to gather information from witnesses and scene evidence.

Officials remind both drivers and pedestrians of the importance of following traffic signals and exercising caution at intersections to help prevent future tragedies.
