MIDLAND, Texas – The Midland Police Department is actively investigating a late September shooting that has now turned deadly following the passing of 18-year-old Adolfo “Isai” Gonzalez. Officials confirmed that Gonzalez succumbed to his injuries on Monday, October 6, 2025.
According to investigators, the shooting occurred around 3:22 a.m. on September 28 in the 300 block of South Bentwood. Authorities said that a disturbance broke out in the backyard during a large party, during which Gonzalez was shot once. He was initially transported to Midland Memorial Hospital and later airlifted to a medical facility in Lubbock, where he tragically passed away.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, and as of now, has not been identified. The Midland Police Department continues to pursue leads and is urging anyone with information to contact them at 432-685-7108.
