FORKLAND, Ala. — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has identified the victim and charged a suspect following a fatal shooting that occurred Monday in Greene County.
Authorities confirmed that 31-year-old Boris Moody of Forkland was found deceased at the Dollar General near the 13000 block of U.S. Highway 43 with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), agents launched a homicide investigation on October 6, 2025, at the request of the Forkland Police Department. Following the investigation, 28-year-old Jamal Lee of Demopolis was identified as the suspect.
Lee has been charged with murder and booked into the Greene County Jail, where he remains in custody. Authorities stated that additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
Once the investigation is complete, the case will be presented to the Greene County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Officials expressed their condolences to the family and friends of Boris Moody, whose life was tragically cut short. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency encourages anyone with further information to come forward as they continue seeking justice in this case.
