Brianna Henn Dies in Fletcher Vehicle Accident

FLETCHER, N.C. — A devastating vehicle accident in Fletcher claimed the life of 17-year-old Brianna “Bri” Henn of Henderson County on Monday, Authorities confirmed that Bri, a senior at North Henderson High School, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Fletcher Police Department reported that the collision occurred just before 10:30 a.m. on Mills Gap Road. A small SUV carrying Brianna collided head-on with a dump truck traveling in the opposite direction. Emergency responders, including Fletcher Police, Henderson County EMS, and Fletcher Fire and Rescue, quickly arrived at the scene.

In a statement, the Fletcher Police Department expressed condolences to Brianna’s family and the North Henderson High School community, calling the loss “a tragic day for our community.”

Henderson County Public Schools also released a statement offering support: “Our hearts are heavy as our district mourns the loss of one of our students. Social workers and counselors from the district’s Crisis Team will be available at North Henderson High School starting Wednesday, October 15, and in the days ahead to support students and staff.”

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Fletcher Police Department. Brianna Henn will be remembered for her spirit, warmth, and the impact she had on those around her.
