GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J – The Galloway Township Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they continue investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of 31-year-old Kenneth Chivalette on Friday evening.
According to police, the tragic incident occurred around 7:38 p.m. on South New York Road, when Chivalette, riding his 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, collided head-on with a 2021 Kia Seltos driven by 35-year-old Nicole Ciccone, both residents of Galloway.
Chivalette was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus, where he succumbed to his injuries. Ciccone was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving under the influence, reckless driving, and failure to possess a registration, according to court records. Her blood was drawn as part of standard procedure in fatal crash investigations, and results are pending.
Chivalette leaves behind two young children — a 5-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter — described by family and friends as “his whole world.” A GoFundMe created in his memory describes him as a kind, genuine soul whose laughter was contagious and whose love for his children defined his life.
Police urge anyone with information or who witnessed the crash to contact Officer Cody Trout at 609-652-3705, ext. 377. Authorities also expressed gratitude to all emergency crews who assisted at the scene and reminded drivers to stay alert and avoid distractions on the road.
