BATON ROUGE, La — Authorities have identified Sedrick Taylor, 22, as the man fatally shot outside a McDonald’s on Airline Highway on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The shooting occurred around 11:15 a.m. near Prescott Road, according to Baton Rouge Police Department detectives.
Officials say the incident took place during what is believed to have been a narcotics transaction. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found Taylor suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects have been publicly identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
