Williams, Calif. – Authorities in Colusa County found an 84-year-old man, Jim Hamner, dead on Saturday evening after he was reported missing earlier in the day. Hamner, a resident near Hankins Road and Stovall Road, was reported missing between noon and 2:30 p.m., leading to a large search effort by local law enforcement and emergency teams.
Search and rescue teams from Colusa and Glenn counties, local fire departments, and the California Highway Patrol all participated, with aerial support helping to locate him. Hamner was discovered at approximately 9:12 p.m. in an irrigation canal near his home. Officials say no foul play is suspected, and the Colusa County Coroner’s Office is investigating the cause of death.
Authorities thanked the community and all agencies involved in the search for their efforts and cooperation.
